M.U.

Well, here we are at another first of the month. Woo-hoo. And this time, I'm getting the update up o the proper day! How clever am I? Haha, don't answer that.

Anyway, without furhter ado, here is a little peek at my 'recent' list:

Beauty and the Beast: One of my Fairy Tail's Fairytales. I am most ashamed to admit that, while I've been re-reading this fic, I've done very little in the way of writing more. I don't know why, but it's not really cooperating at the moment. I suppose it's because I've been so much more into One Piece. It's actually 7,800 words long, which is pretty good.

Compatability: This one is a One Piece fanfic that I've been trying to work on. It's a SmokerXAce fic, mostly centered on how Morgana came to be (Yeay~ M!Preg~!). It's giving me a bit of trouble at the moment, but I'm sure I'll get through eventually. Unfortunately, it's still only 2,500 words long. Bleh.

Dark Prince: This is a really old Stravaganza fanfic I started and have been staring at in the hopes of writing more, but... Ah, well. It's really not very long at all. I haven't even finished the prologue yet... Ugh. It'll probably never get finished, just like everything else on my laptop...

Mutant Rescue: Well, this was seen last month. and since then, it's grown by about 1,000 words, which isn't too bad, I suppose... I don't really have much else to say about this, seeing as I rambled about it last month.

Not as Stupid as She Seems: Ah, this one is a little fanfic I wrote when I was craving some SmokerXAce that wasn't too depressing. It's just a light little piece about Tashigi figuring out that Smoker's sleeping with a pirate, and not just any pirate at that. I might just put it up on DA if Furry thinks I should. The whole thing is only 1,600 words long, but even so, I'm kinda proud of it.

Pheromones: This is another One Piece fanfic, that I'm sure I've mentioned before. I really don't know if I'll eveer put it on the internet because, well, it's a very, very shameless self-insert and really just a way for me to get my hopeless fangirling out of my system. Though, it is a very impressive 7,500 words~ I'm so proud! Teehee. And there's Sanji-smut in there too~ Yeay~

Rebellion: Ooh, this is a new Young Samurai fic I started that I really like. Basically, at the end of the fifth book, Jack thinks about all the friends he's made in Japan and how, if he continues to make more good friends, he knows he'll get home eventually, and I thought: 'What about the friends you've already got?' And that's what started the idea. Basically, all of Jack's friends, and a few of my own OCs, because I'm shameless like that, get together and get organised trying to help Jack to the coast behind his back. It's also another excuse for me to have Tari train Yamato and Akiko and Yori as ninja. It's almost exactly 3,900 words long, which isn't too shabby for me.

Smile For the Camera: I had another look at this recently, but any inspiration I had for Naruto fics has completely dried up, unfortunately. I'm just... not interested at the moment. Oh well, I have One Piece~

The Little Mermaid: Another one of my Fairy Tail's Fairytales. This one has been crawling along, but still advancing a little. It's not quite as long as the other one I've started on, (see Beauty and the Beast at the top), as it's only 6,200 words long. I really need to work out the rest of the plot for that one first... haha...

And that's all for now...

I'm off to watch more One Piece! (I finally reached episode 400!)

Neglected

I really have been neglecting this poor blog. I feel ashamed.

But, I suppose, the upside to neglecting my blog is that I have actually been so busy working on creative stuff that I haven't had time to update.

Mostly, I've been working on my Next Generation characters. The Fairy Tail ones are... well, halfway complete. I've done most of my favourite pairings: NatsuXLucy, GrayXJuvia, JellalXErza, GajeelXLevy, AlzackXBisca and MacaoXCana. I'm working on RomeoXWendy and trying to work out if I should do HappyXCharle or not. Then my obsession with Freed smacked me in the face and I decided that I'd jump on the bandwagon and pair him with Mirajane just so I could see what he would be like as a father. And last of all, I'm really rather leaning towards LaxusXEvergreen, but loads of people seem to support ElfmanXEvergreen, so I'm waiting to see what all this 'evidence' is that they keep harping on about (I have yet to fully catch up with the anime, let alone the manga) before I make my decision. And last of all, I kept wavering between LyonXSherry and RenXSherry, but I ultimately decided that the Trimens (Hibiki, Eve and Ren) really need to stay bachelors. So LyonXSherry it is.

But the ones I've been paying most attention to is the One Piece ones. Of course, its still a little difficult with the lack of pairings, but I've finally settled on ones that I actually like. Obviously, there's still NamiXPaulie and UsoppXKaya, but I've also decided on ZoroXTashigi (They have one daughter called Kuina) and SanjiXRobin, which I'm officially in love with. It's almost my new One Piece OTP, but unfortunately, SmokerXAce still holds that spot. And I'm ashamed (not really) say that I've included them in my Next Gen. plans. They have one flame-retardant daughter called Morgana (who looks just like Fem!Ace. Heh)

And because I only have two friends who can bear to RP SmokerXAce with me, my obsession with the pairing is slowly taking me over and driving me insane... So I'm going to ramble here for a while. If you don't like gayness, don't read past this point.

Basically, I feel like explaining the story behind Morgana, and how she came to be. I'll admit to having an unhealthy obsession with M!Preg. I dunno what it is about a guy getting pregnant, but it's somewhere between adorable, hilarious and sexy. Anyway, as I say, unhealthy obsession, so whenever I find a gay pairing I actually like, well, I'll look for any excuse to get one of them pregnant. One Piece made it surprisingly easy. The way I figure, Devil's Fruit screw with your body, giving you all these superpowers, especially the Logia ones. And there I am presented with two men with compatible Logias. And seeing as they can turn their body into their element, it even solves the 'OMG how do we get the baby out?!' dilemma.

If you don't like spoilers, don't read beyond here.

So, there you go. Ace is almost always on the bottom, so he's the one that gets pregnant (and a pregnant Ace is very fun to daydream/write/RP about). The way I always imagine it is that this is all going on before the timeskip, and that when Ace is supposed to die protecting Luffy, Smoker pulls them both out of harms way (and then has a go at Ace for being reckless with the life of their kid). After that, obviously, Smoker can't be a Marine any more (though at this point in my daydreaming, he's gotten so fed up of the non-just 'Justice' of the Marines that he really doesn't mind), so he and Ace run away and settle down quietly in Water 7, where Smoker and Tashigi, and a few of Smoker's more loyal men, become sort of... Vigilante Bounty Hunters. But yes, then Morgana is born, and of course, she'd be born a charred skeleton because the only way to get her out is to have Ace turn his stomach to fire and pull her out... Hence the flame-retardant baby. WOOHOO~! She's completely fireproof, and when she was a toddler, Smoker kept on having to pull her out of the fireplace because she rather enjoys sitting (butt naked, as the fireproof-ness doesn't extend to her clothes) in the middle of a roaring fire. (Probably reminds her of the womb. Hurr.)

After Morgana's born, Ace gets a job at Galley-La, because it's the only one he can really get as a wanted man. And of course, being rather skillful, he's soon damned good at building ships and is promoted to Foreman (because, lets face it, after the whole CP9 betrayal, Galley-La really needs some new Foremen). Of course, you can't keep a man like Ace from the sea for long, and Ace and Smoker, and Morgana too, do spend a lot of time sailing the Grand Line, becuase they can, and therefore, Morgana was raised to a life at sea, and she just can't imagine how people can bear to stay on land for any length of time.

Ok, I'm done rambling, those who don't like gayness can start reading again, though there may be some spoilers ahead.

Moving on to another Ace-related topic, when I was looking for pictures of Ace's mom (to get a better idea of what a female Portgas would look like), I found lots of really sweet 'if only' family pics, and spent an hour bawling my eyes out... though, this one did make me laugh:

Ace's Family

Roger got owned. Haha.

Incase you hadn't noticed, I'm in a total One Piece mood, and I'm proud to say I've been watching more of the Anime. But I feel kind of sad because Kuma's just turned up... and this sort of feels like the beginning of the end... Ah! Best not think about it, or I'll end up crying again. I'm gonna be a total wreck when I finally get to the bit where Ace dies... Shit.

No more spoilers. Feel free to start reading again.

Also, I finally got round to looking for some character songs sung by Sanji... and I adore his singing voice. There's two that I found, Moulin Rouge and The Great Blue. With The Great Blue, I can really imagine Sanji on stage at one of those posh uppity restaurants, playing the piano and singing. Excuse me while I go swoon and fangirl over that image. Here's the song:

The Great Blue

Well, I really ought to go watch more One Piece. I still have over a hundred episodes to go. 130 at least... Haha...

Happy Birthday to The-Other-Me!

All I can say is, my writing took a total flump until a few days ago.

I blame Mary and all the stress she vomits up on every avaliable occassion.

I impressed myself yesterday, writing a whole 2,500 words for TRG in one evening. I think I'm going to set myself a target of 1,000 words a day, excluding weekends, and I've also made a rule that I can't watch more than one Anime episode for every fivehundred words I write.

I doubt I'll stick to it longer than a week or two, but that'll be another 10,000 words in it, so... Whatever. Heh.

In other news, I've been working some more on a Next Gen Harry Potter fic I swear I've mentioned before. Albus Potter, Rose Weasley, Scorpius Malfoy and my OC Zoe Dursley are in the same year at Hogwarts, but all in different houses. Somehow, despite this social barrier, they manage to maintain their friendship all the way through to their fifth year. However, as well as facing their OWLs, they're also faced with the Trials of the Hogwarts Four, which no other student has ever survived in the history of Hogwarts.

I've got all the trials planned out, roughly, I'll admit, but still. It's gonna be good fun to write once I get round to it.

And, finally, I suppose, I feel like telling you all that it happens to be Setari's birthday today. All leap and flail in cheer. I am offically 21 on the internet now~ Woohoo~!

I suppose that's all for now. I don't really have much else to say...

Next Generation

I would apologise for the long delay between posts, but I doubt either of you who follow this blog are really all that bothered. But still, I feel bad for neglecting this bloog for as long as I have. Bad me. Quite a lot has been going on actually, but I'm not sure I'll be able to remember it all.

Well, first things first. For those of you that don't know, the next book in an amazing series is coming out on the 4th of October, and I'm really not sure I'll be able to wait that long. The Son of Neptune is the second book in the Heroes of Olympus series, which is a follow on of the Percy Jackson and the Olympian's series (five books long). I am so very, very excited and I really, really do not want to wait until October. I actually just downloaded the first chapter of Rick Riordan's website and it really is looking to be an amazing book.

On a related note, I bought the first book of Rick Riordan's other series, the Kane Chronicles, the other day, and have only just started reading it. As you may or may not know, the Kane Chronicles are all about the Egyptian gods (just like PJatO is about the Greek gods, and HoO is about the Roman gods), so I'm not keeping up with this one as I did with PJatO. Either way, it's looking to be a very good read, but I don't really have the time, or the perseverance to read a lot at a time. Still, gotta keep at it.

The other books I bought along with The Red Pyramid (first book in the Kane Chronicles), is the latest Skulduggery Pleasant book, called Mortal Coil as well as The Ring of Water, which is the fifth book in the Young Samurai series, and finally, I decided to look into a new book(or series?) called Time Riders. I haven't started reading it properly yet, but I read the first chapter in the store, and it's looking to be good. Fingers crossed. But still, that means that I now have eight books on my shelf that I haven't read yet. God, got to catch up to myself. (That sounded weird.)

Moving on from books. I spent the best part of today and yesterday working on a little fetish of mine called; Next Generation OCs. I confess, I'm hopeless about it. Quite a while ago I made about 21 Naturo Next Gen. OCs, and since then I've been making little scribblings in my notebook about One Piece and Fairy Tail Next Gen. OCs. Well, I finally started working on them for real, getting it all onto my laptop and such. It's good fun, though Once Piece is difficult, owing to the lack of compatible females (Seriously, Oda-sensei, you're just encouraging the yaoi fangirls!).

Let me start at the beginning, cause I have a feeling I could ramble about this for hours. I'll start with my Naruto NGOCs: Obviously, I worked on the basis that my favourite pairings would happen. Duh. So if you don't like NaruHina, SasuSaku, ShikaTema, NejiTen or KibaIno... then I'm very sorry. I won't go off describing all of the OCs, cause we'd be here forever, but I'll just mention my favourites. First of all, there's Akai, Naruto and Hinata's oldest. When she was concieved, the Kyuubi basically used some of his chakra to transfer himself into the foetus. So... Akai isn't a jinchuriki, exactly, because she kind of is the Kyuubi, in human form and without the Kyuubi's memories. (It was also me poking at the whole Nature VS Nurture thing. Lots of fun.) Then, I guess there's Ryuu and Cho, kids of Neji and Tenten. Both are named after winged animals (Ryuu = Dragon and Cho = Butterfly) because of the whole 'Caged Bird' thing and Tenten's dragon scroll move. Others that are worth a mention are Inoue (Ino's daughter, obviously), Rin and Mei (Uchiha twins), and Shikari (Shikamaru's daughter, duh.)

Then there's One Piece. I feel more like gushing about this one because it's quite small at the moment, because, I say again, of the lack of females in the series. I suppose it started when I fell in love with Nami X Paulie. I decided they'd have two kids, a girl called Bellemere (I know it's kind of over done, but it's so common for a reason. Nami would call her daughter that.), and a boy called Raguna. I got that name partly from FF8, and partly from the Aqua Laguna. After that, I started to think about the other pairings in the series. The only nearly certain one I could think of was Usopp X Kaya, so I worked on that one next. It was a bit of a struggle, but then I suddenly realised... Usopp would call his first son Merry, wouldn't he? After that, I decided not to look too deep into the names I was picking, and just try and pick something that Kaya or Usopp might pick. I got Raphael, and then Rowan and Willow, who're twins.

After that I run out of pairings to work with. The only person, other than Nami or another guy, that I've seen Luffy paired with is Hancock and from what little I've seen of her, I don't like her, nor do I think she's good enough for Luffy. I toyed with Zoro X Robin for a while, but I don't know if I like it or not. Then I thought it might be an idea to pair Zoro with Tashigi. That's one fucked up relationship there, for sure. And it's one I think I like less than Zoro X Robin for real, but if anyone knows any Zoro X Tashigi stuff that could sway me to that pairing, please comment with a link. I toyed for a while with Robin X Franky, too, but I don't know how I feel about that one. Obviously, Brook and Chopper aren't really going to have kids (and if Chopper does, they'll be reigndeer) and that leaves Sanji. I hate Nami X Sanji with a passion (Nami is so not good enough for him), and the only other person I really see paired up with Sanji (other than Zoro, which is a big NO THANK YOU) is that Carmella woman, who is not good enough to even compete with Nami, and that says it all. So... yeah, in short, after I'm done with Nami X Paulie and Usopp X Kaya, I get well and truely stuck (though, there is also Vivi X Kohza, which is cute. Teehee)

Then there's Fairy Tail, which is going to be big. I've got all of Lucy and Natsu's kids, as well as Gray and Juvia's. I'm working on Gajeel and Levi's and Jellal and Erza's right now. It's kind of stressful and stuff, but still good fun. I'm trying not to ramble too much like I did with the One Piece one, so I'm not going to mention any names or anything, or I'll end up doing a fullblown rant.

Finally, there's Harry Potter. Really, JKR did most of the work already, but I've always always thought, contrary to JKR's statement, that Dudley would have a witch daughter, and I thought it would be lovely if she (who I decided to call Zoe) was the same age as Albus, Rose and Scorpius. That way, they're a set. Albus in Hufflepuff, Rose in Slytherin (haha Ron), Scorpius in Gryffindor (haha Draco), and Zoe in Ravenclaw. I'm planning a fic about them and their adventures at Hogwarts, but I don't know if I'll ever really get around to writing it...

And last of all (I think), I have an informal job interview on... tomorrow. And I need a bath. Haha. Fun. But yes, it doesn't really have much to do with my writing, but still, I don't care. I'm kind of nervous, kind of excited and... I don't really know what, except it's happening and it's new and different and... yeah. It's weird, that's what it is. Weird.

Ah, yes. I went to see the latest Pirates of the Carribean movie at the cinema, and it has rekindled my fetish for love of mermaids. Those fucking tails, dude... I nearly jizzed in the cinema.

Aaand one last thing (For real this time... I think), I had a random thought while watching X-men. Wouldn't it be cool to see a One Piece / X-men crossover? So, yeah, I'm thinking about writing about it, but it's only the beginnings of an idea at the moment, so no details.

Yes, I think that's all for now...

Monthly Update

Well, it's a day late, and for that I apologise. A lot of thing were not happening yesterday, and I never got round to it. (By that I mean lots of things were supposed to happen yesterday, but there's one certain person in this house that is a lazy, insensitive, unsupportive bitch who can't get anything done.) So yes, here is my monthly little update about what's on my 'recent' list:

Cerys: This here is a Merlin fanfic. It's about a woman called Cerys, who was best friends with Ygraine and Nimue. As the series tells you, Ygraine dies and Nimue is banished for her death. But Cerys vowed to protect Arthur with her life, and has been doing from the shadows since the day he learned to ride a horse. In order to help her protect him, because seriously, one person is not enough to ever keep Arthur out of trouble, she offered to teach girls how to defend themselves in return for their oath to help her protect Arthur. She currently has twelve students. The fics about 3,900 words, which is pretty good for me. Heheh...

Family Reunion: This is an original story about Taye Morgan. (I'm pretty sure I've mentioned him before in this blog.) It was really just an exercise to get me used to writing the characters, but it sort of got bigger than I expected. It's about 3,000 words (my usual, it seems) long, and I only meant it to be like... 1,500 or something.

Kitsune Child: This is a very, very shameless self-insert where Setari basically falls in love with four guys from One Piece. I don't really have much else to say about it. It's mostly from Sanji's perspective, and it's about 3,600 words long,

Mutant Rescue: This here is a Maximum Ride fanfic where my OC, Setari, is the daughter of Marian Janssen, the director of Itex. Setari hates the way mutants are treated, and devises a plan to get as many of them out of the schools as she can. When she was a child she met Iggy and made friends with him before he went blind, but then Marian found out that her daughter had befriended a mutant and forbid her from ever talking to 'it' again. It's lots of fun to write, especially coming up with my own groups of mutants. It's just over 4,000 words long, and it's probably the one I have the most inspiration to work on.

The Dragon's Brood: Well, this fic has grown unbelievably in the last month. Last month it was only 1,000 words long, now it's 4,300. God that makes me so happy! I'm having a lot of fun with it too, and it's quite a challenge to write Dokugan Ryuu in character. I don't have much more to say about this one, just how pleased I am about how much it's grown.

Homicidal Psychosis: I decided to save this one for last, because it relates most to my life at the moment. It's a short little piece about, duh, homicidal psychosis. I completed it, and put it on dA for either of you lovely minions of mine to read:

Homicidal Psychosis

Well, that's all for now. Enjoy my furious rantings above.

London Anime Expo

HOLY SHIT!

I went to the London Anime Expo yesterday with Dagga and Sarah and... HOLY SHIT! It was AWESOME!

First, we had to get to London, which meant taking a train from Banbury to Oxford, and I was kinda nervous, seeing as it was pretty much my first time on public transport without an adult around. But it was actually really fun. Once we were in Oxford, we had to get a coach to London, which took about an hour and a half, I think. I wasn't really paying attention to the time, and I slept half the journey away (even though I reckon I was the one out of us three that got the most sleep the night before. I know Dagga only got four hours sleep). Then we had to take the London Underground from Victoria station to Tower Hill. And this was where I started getting travel sick. Sarah was way worse off than me, though. And finally, we got a DLR train from Tower Hill to the Customs House at ExCeL, or something like that. That made me travel sick as well.

But travel sickness was forgotten completely when we arrived at the Expo. There were so many amazing cosplayers there, I can't even begin to describe how amazing it was. One of my favourites was this trio of guys cosplaying as Luffy, Zoro and Sanji. It was almost possible to believe that those three actually were the characters. (And the guy cosplaying as Sanji was kinda hot. Heheh.) There was also this group of people cosplaying as Eeveelutions, and they were all posing for people to take pictures and stuff. I could go through a whole list of the cosplayers we saw, but I know I'd forget loads, and we'd still be here in the evening talking about it.

Well, then we had to queue up to get our magical wristbands of awesomeness. My back nearly gave out. I swear. We were stood in this mile long queue for way over an hour. There were a few good distractions. Sarah was cosplaying as Tobi and loads of people asked for photos, and even one person cosplaying as Pikachu asked for a hug. There was also this splicer in the que a little ways in front of us, and a Yuffie only a few people in front of us who Dagga started chatting to about FF7.

Then, finally, we got out of the queue of terror, and we finally got inside the Expo at half two (we left banbury at nine. That's five whole hours, and some). Let me tell you. It was so worth the wait. It was crowded and stifflingly hot and so unbelievably awesome. There were stalls all over the place selling plushies and figurines and posters and wall scrolls and props and bags and manga and doujinshi and cosplay outfits and hats and coloured anime contacts and necklaces and other jewellery and anything an anime fan could ever want. There was even one stall selling real swords. There were dozens of katana, and even some real kunai and shuriken, and Asuma's knuckle blades and some wakizashi. Unfortunately, you had to be eighteen to buy one. But no worries, we're going back in October (for Dagga's birthday), and we are so going to the one in 2012 too, so I can buy myself a real katana. Oh, god, I can't wait. I'm so saving up for that. Definately.

Well, moving on from what I couldn't buy, and on to what did. Teehee. First of all, I spent about £15 on a Straw Hat of Power. I HAVE LUFFY'S HAT! Kyaa~! I am so happy about that. I'm going to wear it all the freaking time! I also spent £12 on a Mugiwara kaizoku flag (Straw Hat Pirates flag). I tried to bluetack it to my wall, but it keeps falling down, and I don't want to use pins or anything, cause they'll leave holes in the flag. So I'm kinda stuck on how to get it to stay on the wall... Anyway, I also spent a whopping £30 on an Ace-Hat for Sarah, so we could wander round the Expo as Akatsuki!Ace and Akatsuki!Luffy. Hurrhurr! It was awesome. Sarah got herself a Grell plushie for £15. It's adorable! Then I bought myself a pack of Naruto Shippuden playing cards for £3, which is awesome. There's two cards with Gaara on (Kyaa~!) and quite a few with Itachi on (KYAA~!). And finally, I bought a Gaara poster which was about £4, I think. (GAARA-KUUUN~! KYAA~!). I'm not entirely sure about what Dagga bought because she decided to be antisocial and wander off on her own. But I know she bought a hat with bunny ears on and a Vampire Knight cosplay outfit, which was sexy. She also got a Tsubasa messenger bag, I think.

After that exhausting but exhilarating three hours, we headed back, on the DLR which made me travelsick, back onto the Underground, where we got a little lost. It wasn't bad, but the DLR had taken us one station further than we thought it had, so we got to Victoria station earlier than we thought. Then we had to find the right coach to get us back, and we did, right as it was pulling out of the station. So we had to wait another half hour for the next one. Sarah was feeling travel sick and hungry, Dagga was tired and hungry, and I was just plain old hungry. Finally, the coach turned up and we got on. It. Was. Hell. The buss was way too hot, the air-conditioning was blowing out hot air, and there were no openable windows. And, of course, the heat only made the motion sickness that much worse. I tried to sleep again, but it was too hot to sleep properly, so I just dozed occasionally. The one time I did actually drift off to sleep I had a weird dream where Chopper was taking my appendix out and Sanji was perving on me in the bath. Finally, we got back on the train taking us back to Banbury, met Dagga's mum outside the station, and got dropped off back home at about ten in the evening.

Then we pretty much just stuffed some hastily made dinner into guts, then colapsed into bedand slept all the way through to the morning.

I'm almost certain that despite the three hour long journey there, and the same back, and the good hour or two in the queue, it was the best day in my life so far. I have never had so much fun before, except perhaps when I went to Disneyland Paris when I was little, but even that doesn't compare to an Anime Expo. Nu-uh. Anime Expo pwns Disneyland without question.

I've got to find a way to get more money for October... and I've gotta keep about £160 for 2012 when I can get a katana~! Can't wait!

Ja ne~!

Internet Trouble

For the last couple of days, my internet has been messing about a lot. That has made me reluctant to turn on my laptop at all, which, of course, results in me not writing much either. Still, I've started a Maximum Ride fanfic which, I admit, is a bit of a shameless self-insert which fullfills my dreams of rescuing all the mutants from the School(s) and giving them a safe place to stay.

Moving onto a happier note; I found an Open University course that's very cheap, short (which is good for me because I'm easily distracted and have comitment issues), and dedicated to Creative Writing. I'm especially looking forward to the last segment of study, which introduces you to the world of publishers and publishing. Really, I can't wait.

Me and Sarah have been reading some of the Harry Potter books aloud. It's good fun, and a nice way to reread the books. We started with book 3, the Prisoner of Azkaban, and now we're reading book 5, the Order of the Phoenix.

Also, I've been reading a 'the cast reads the books' fanfic about Percy Jackson and the Olympians, written by this author on fanfiction.net who does a lot of those 'the cast reads the books' type fics:

Percy Jackson's Myth

She's done the Harry Potter books too, with the six guys who went to the Department of Mysteries (Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, Neville and Luna) as well as James, Lily, Sirius, Remus, Alice and Frank, I think. She's also done the Twilight books, but I'm not going to touch that with a ten foot barge pole.

jlmill9

On another note, I bought the fourth Young Samurai book the other day (Along with The Atlantis Complex, which is finally out in paper back, and 13 Curses, the sequel to 13 Secrets. Is looking to be a good series). I haven't had a chance to read any of them yet (though I've already read a friend's copy of The Atlantis Complex (Artemis Fowl book 7) so I don't need to read that one), but I can't wait.

Well, I figure that's about all from me for the moment. I'll try to update soon.

A New Link

Once again, One Piece has become my main obsession. I've currently got seven fanfics that I'm writing for said fandom, and I've been updating quite a few of them. One of them is new, and is a guilty little indulgence into my obsession with Mpreg (don't ask). The other one that I'm working on most, because it has the most well-defined plot (not that that's saying much...) is Pheromones. I'm pretty sure I've mentioned it before in my blog. I've finally completed Chapter 1 (and the Prologue) and I have a good plan for Chapter 2 and possibly 3 as well.

Other One Piece news is that I've finally hit the 360 mark in the anime. The Thriller Bark Arc (hurrhurr, I made a funny) is dragging on a little, especially as I don't have the time to watch it as much as I would if I weren't living with Sarah. And I've still got over a hundred episodes to go before I catch up... Joy.

Moving on, I notice I haven't linked to anything in my last couple of blogs so I thought I might as well. What I'm trying to reread at the moment, though with rather less time to myself than I'm used to it's taking longer than I thought it would, is this Maximum Ride fic called Icaria. What it's mainly about, for me at least, is Iggy-Ari friendship, and seeing as those two are my two absolute most favouritest characters in the whole series (and yes, I do obsess over them both), I adore this fic.

Icaria

Other than the newest update, which was quite recent, it's been quite a while since they last updated, so I'm rereading through the fic to remind myself what its about. I hope I can get all the way to the end, but knowing me, I'll probably get distracted half way through and end up forgetting all about it for another few months until the next update prods me into remembering.

I don't really have much to say beyond that, so...

Scatterbrain

Well, it's been a while since I last updated, and since then, Firday the 13th has come and gone. Happy belated Firday the 13th to you all.

Well, I've done some work on a few of my One Piece fanfics. It's not much, but it's something, I guess.

I really don't have much to say at all, as disturbing as that is for me. TRG has come to a standstill until I can get Furry  to sit down and have a nice long chat with me about her character in the story. Fun. I still need to pester everyone else about the details of their characters, but Furisca's the only one that I still don't have a full physical description of.

I'm not really obsessing over one particular thing at the moment, which is weird for me. I mean, I've got One Piece on the brain (damn, the Mugiwara crew looks sexy in suits), and Naruto too, though that's mainly the Akatsuki and NaruHina. Then there's Stravaganza because I'm reading the fifth book; City of Ships at the moment. Next is the Mortal Instruments series, because like I said a while ago, my Angst Muse had been very active and nothing says Angst like unrequited love for a gay Shadowhunter, who's dating a centuries old warlock and in love with his adopted brother, who happens to be in love with his real sister. Like I said: Angst galore. After that is Harry Potter because I bought a HP3 PS2 game the other day, and it's hilarious in how badly it fails. It even fails to follow the plot of the movie, which was a failure in and of itself. And there's also Doctor Who, because the latest episode was so sweet and adorable and just utterly 'Kyaa~!'. "The Doctor's Wife" it's called. And even if you only like Doctor Who in passing, you should totally watch it. (Yes, Devil, Imma looking at yuu).

So yeah, I'm not spending enough time focused on only one fandom to do any writing for it. Oh well.

Random Update

Well... Not much to say, to be honest. I just felt like updating my blog again.

I suppose... recently, my Angst Muse (They really need names) has been running around like a spaz in my brain inspiring me left right and center. As such, the obsession I'm currently focusing on is Alec Lightwood from Mortal Instruments. Being not only gay, but in love with his adoptive brother, and dating a centuries old High Warlock, it's good for a lot of unrequited love and general all round angst. Unfortunately, my ability to actually write my ideas down seems to have dried up.

I also had a very random idea recently that just won't leave me alone. I'll probably never get round to writing it, but I'll tell you all both about it anyway. Basically, I've always wanted to read the 'Icha Icha' books in Naruto, and I figure that Jiraiya uses people he knows for inspiration. So, why not write out my own Icha Icha series, based on the romantic adventures of my favourite Naruto pairings? Obviously, I would try to write it as if Jiraiya was writing it, and the characters wouldn't have the same names, but just something similar. Perhaps a name with the same, or similar meaning...? Either way, it would be bundles of fun to try my hand at, though I would have to figure out a good background plot...

I just recently finished rereading the Last Battle of the Icemark, and, predictably, I found myself bawling my eyes out by the end. It's not a bad ending (and by bad I mean the villians win and the heros all suffer eternal torment or die horribly, like Romeo and Juliet), but it is kind of... bittersweet. I simply adore all of the characters, and the setting is amazing, and the whole thing is just so... so brilliant!

Also, I just managed to catch up with all the recent Doctor Who episodes, which is awesome, and I had a most intriguing thought. What if the Doctor's next companion (and I know it'd be break the whole 'usually female' tradition, but whatever) was Artemis Fowl? Wouldn't that be hilarious? I might write a fic about that... maybe. I doubt it. Never mind.

Well, that's all the updates for now.

Mostly Original Shit

Well, right now, I'm almost too tired to think striaght, so there might be a lot of typos in this. Either way, I felt like just shoving a post up before I went to sleep, otherwise, I probably won't post for another week or so.

I really haven't had a chance to do much writing, really, but my drive to complete TRG has been rekindled, and even though I'm only on Chapter 1, and it's being a total bitch, I managed to get some more done on it. Not much, admittedly, but some, and that's good enough. I've decided I'm going to have all five books complete and ready for publishing by the time I reach my 27th birthday (that's about ten years from now). I'd like to have them all done by the time I'm 23 (which will be ten years since the idea smacked me in the face, roughly), but I'm not even sure if that's realistic... Either way, I'm feeling much more driven to complete it.

I'm also finding myself fretting over where my life is going to go (thank you for that, Mary)... I'm one of those people that can't cope on my own. If I have someone with me, whether its someone to look after me, or someone I have to look after, I can keep my cool (reasonably well, anyway), but the moment I'm threatened with being on my own, I freak out. I'd really like to be able to earn money through my writing, but other than getting a book published, I can't see how else to accomplish that. People won't commision me to write stuff like they commision artists...

Moving on. I've come up with another idea for an original story. It's only at its bare bones at the moment, and I'll have to sleep on it and do a lot of scribbling. Basically, it's an idea to write about seven (seven feels right, though it may be too much) books, that are each separate stories, but they're linked too. The idea is basically that the first story might be about one guys adventure, then the next might be about a girl's adventure, and at the end, you find out the guy from the first book is her grandfather, or something. I'm also thinking of combining it with my post-apocalyptic story idea, but I might not do that... I don't know.

And finally, because I feel like sharing, this here is a Writing Prompt I did:

"Ride on the Wind and Ring Daybreak's Bell"

Basically, on Live Journal, there's a community called 31 Days, and on this community, they have prompts for every single day of the year, for each year since 2006, I think. It's incredible, and I have most of 2009 on my laptop for me to browse through when I'm feeling creative without an outlet. That there is the prompt for November the 16th, 2009, and it's the only non-self insert piece I've done for those prompts. It's a Naruto and Sasuke friendship fic, because Naruto's dedication to Sasuke is awe-inspiring, and about the only reason I don't wish Sasuke dead.

Oh, and here's a link to the 31 Days community, in case you're interested:

31 Days

And that's about all for now. I'm going to go crash now.

Butter on Bread

Well, let me first say that I'm terribly sorry for my long absence. The days just seem to fly by here at Sarah's. Things are a little hectic too. My brain can't settle on one obsession long enough to do much with any of them.

First, I want to mention the spaz-tastic Role Play me and Sarah were doing just this morning. It started off very sombre and serious, with Voldemort planning on how to kill off Sev. Then Brook came and asked to see Bellatrix's panties, Nagini got a boyfriend, Ed crashlanded on the dining room table, Skulduggery and Artemis tried to demolish Narcissa's house and the Doctor landed his TARDIS on Skulduggery's Bently. A lot of other shiz happened besides, but I can't remember it all...

Also, I discovered that I am actualy TWO CENTIMETERS TALLER THAN EDWARD ELRIC. He really is a midget.

So, yes. My obsessions are all over the place at the moment. I've started a new Harry Potter fic, where someone finally points out that Harry's scar is actually the rune Sowilo, which represents victory and the triumph of good over evil (prophetic much?). This random-spazz fanfic was prompted when me and Sarah watched the first five Harry Potter movies out of sequence. I think we started with four, then two, three, one and finally five. It was good fun, and I got creeped out by how much Dolores Umbridge really does remind me of my mother.

Then, of course, my Naruto obsession is still standing. The game that Sarah has goes further into the anime than I've seen, so now I know what's going to happen and I want to stab Sasuke in the face with a pencil. Stupid, arrogant, ignorant, selfish, greedy, vengeful prat. I'm also contemplating a fic where my persona Setari saves the Akatsuki. Starting with Sasori, and ending with Itachi (so far). But as I said, I'm only contemplating, and I'll probably never write it.

Also, I'm suddeny obsessing badly over Iggy from Maximum Ride, thanks to reading an old RP with him in. I've found that there are several similarities between a lot of my obsessions, first and foremost is the crappy pasts. I have a thing for guys with tough pasts, I'll admit. Then, I've noticed that I like guys who're blind. There's Iggy (Maximum Ride), obviously, Itachi (Naruto) and even, apparently, Roy (FullMetal Alchemist). Not to mention Hatori (Fruits Basket), who's blind in one eye, and Dokugan Ryuu (Young Samurai), who has one eye missing. Next, I noticed I have a thing for Pyromaniacs. Obviously, there's Iggy again and Roy, plus Zuko (Avatar: The Last Airbender), Dustfinger (Inkheart), and Deidara (Naruto). Finally, I noticed I have a thing for cooks, most notably Iggy and Sanji (One Piece), though V (V for Vendetta) and Howl (Howl's Moving Castle) can cook well too.

In summary, I like blind pyromaniacal cooks with shitty pasts... Iggy to a T really.

I'm also still obsessing over Kuroshitsuji, One Piece and Young Samurai, so my brain feels like it's being pulled in all sorts of directions.

I've also decided to try giving my muses a form again (I tried once before, but it didn't work out too well. They didn't much like the forms I gave them, see...), inspired by the movie '9'. If you haven't seen it, do so. Stitchpunk is the cutest thing ever, and my muses are now stitchpunk-style. There's my most commonly exercised Fluff-Muse, who's a hyperactive over-indulgent muse. My Smut-Muse who works well enough, but buckles under pressure. My Action-Muse who is a lazy son of a bitch. My Crack-Muse who has rare bursts of manic creativity, but is otherwise something of a pathetic little whimp. And finally my Angst-Muse who sits in the corner of my brain growing mushrooms and oozing the occasional wave of depressing literature.

(If anyone can work out how the title relates to this post, I'll give them (virtual) cookies)

And that's all for tonight this morning, folks.

Ja ne!

Fuck

Well, as expected, I really haven't had a chance to do much writing.

Though, I'm managing to carry on a couple of RPs at the moment. One, with Furry, is successfully keeping my love of Sebastian X Ciel aloft, and the other, with Kioni, is helping keep my obsession with merfolk afloat.

Staying with Sarah has, however, given my smut-muse a big boost. We were playing a Naruto Game (Storm 2 or something similar), and I think we just about managed to turn every single line into somehting dirty. It also prompted me to wonder about a universe/fanfic where the entire Naruto cast are whores, instead of ninja. It's a crack idea, true, but it's still interesting, though I'm not at all sure how I'd write it.

We also discussed the possibility of a One Piece and Naruto crossover, and we decided that even though Naruto would ultimately win in a fight, Luffy probably out-eat Naruto. Imagine Naruto's face when he looses a ramen-eating contest against Luffy! We also agreed that Sakura would destroy Nami in a fight, and Zoro would most likely hand Sasuke's ass to him on a silver platter. It also prompted us to wonder about what Naruto would be like if they were all pirates, and vice versa.

Still, I'm finding it kind of hard to get enthusiastic about anything at the moment. I'm tired, and my hormones are messing me about again, and I just... Well, yeah, whatever.

I figured I'd have a look at the fics I've worked on most recently, and give you a little run down. (In alphabetical order, because that's the way my laptop lists it):

Apprentices: That would be the Young Samurai fic I mentioned in It still only has about 600 words in it. I barely wrote one sentence before I got stuck again. I really need to bully my brain into working on that some more.

The Dragon's Brood: I finally gave a name to that third, unnamed Young Samurai fic I mentioned here. (Though, it's listed as 'Dragon's Brood', which is why it's so high on the list.) It's an obvious name, but I can't think of anything better, so whatever. It's about 1,000 words long now, and I'm really hoping to do some more work on it soon. (Mental Note: I must get the next Young Samurai book whenever we go into town.)

Not Really Lily: Aah, this here is the most unnoriginal title I've ever come up with. Basically, this here is a Harry Potter fanfiction where my persona Setari, and yes this is one of those shameless self-insert fics I warmed you about, accidentally sees Severus's memories and gets her hands on a lock of Lily's hair that he was keeping. Obviously, she uses it to transform into Lily for an hour, and goes and has sex with Sev. Of course, if it ended here it would be boring and hardly worth my time to write. No, Tari gets pregnant, and chaos ensues. I really love this plot, but at the moment, I've hit a little hurdle I'm having trouble jumping. This fic, I'm proud to say, is about 3,000 words long. It's not huge, but it's a start.

Retribution: This one finally has a happy ending in sight, so I'm hoping this will motivate me to get on and write the rest of it. Its another one that's 3,000 words long, and I think it will likely be aboue double that before it's done, but I could be wrong. I usually am... Heh.

Scarlet String: Oh, geez. This one. This is my only Sebastian X Ciel fic. Each part is only just about 1,000 words long (that's less than two pages in Word), and it's this spaztic little fic whose plot is all scrambled up in my mind and I can't kick my brain into gear to write any more. I may post the first few parts on deviantART, but I'm not sure... It's about 3,500 words long though, so it's longer than the others I've mentioned. Hah. That's kind of amusing, in a bitter, ironic sort of way.

Smile For the Camera: This would be the SasoDei fic I mentioned. I really want to keep this one flowing, cause I adore the idea. I will most likely post the prologue on fanfiction.net if I can get a few more chapters done. This'll be the first place I put a link if I do. This one's 3,000 words too. I didn't think it was that much, actually, so I'm pretty pleased.

Well there you go. I actually managed to make a good sized post even though I've done fuck all these last couple of days.  Perhaps I'll make a regular thing of this. Do it once a week, maybe? Maybe once a month if that seems like too often... I don't know. Maybe.

Well, whatever. I've got to be in town at one in the afternoon. I'm going to be shattered. And I'm going to be meeting new people. Fuck. I'm so goddamn fucking nervous and scared and I hate meeting new people. But at least I'll have Furry and Sarah and I think Dagga there too. Still... My tummy's churning just thinking about it. Fuck.

Fuck

I've just gotta take it one step at a time... and the first step is: sleep. So, yeah

Ja ne.

Yaoi Invasion

As the title suggests, Yaoi, or at least Shounen-Ai, has suddenly decided to invade my life.

For those ignorant people out there, Shounen-Ai literally translates to Boy Love. It's the name for any anime or manga that has romance between two males. Similarly, Yaoi, is the extreme version of this: In short, Yaoi equals gay porn. Lots of fun.

Now, there are some people out there who are dubbed as 'Yaoi Fangirls'. These people (Yeah, I'm talking about you, Furry) enjoy pairing nearly every male in a series with every other male, just to see hot smut ensue. I am quite pleased to announce that I am not a Yaoi Fangirl. Just like some people pair every girl in a series with every guy, just for the Hentai (straight porn), and I don't.

I like to have proof that the pairings I support might actually happen, or could happen, if the series happens to be finished or something. I'll admit to liking a couple of Crack Pairings, but I'm aware that they're just that: Crack. I don't expect to see them happen in the series, and they're usually between minor character, so there's room to improvise on their circumstances and personality.

Anyway, my point is, I'm a bit of a picky shipper. There are only two Yaoi pairings (apart from somewhat minor ones from little series' that've read/watched) I actually support: Sebastian X Ciel from Kuroshitsuji, and SasoDei from Naruto.

And, of course, Devil's Canvas has me obsessing over Sebastian X Ciel, while Sarah has got me playing a Naruto game which is rekindling my love for SasoDei. As I'm completely stuck on my SebaCiel fic 'Scarlet String', I decided to start a SasoDei fic called 'Smile For the Camera'. I'll probably stick it up on deviantART, or perhaps fanfiction.net if I feel it's good enough.

Well, now I'm being distracted by Sarah's new Zombie game, so I'm going to go watch her shoot reanimated corpses.

Ja ne~!

Dokugan Ryuu

I'm going to be staying with a friend for the next month, and seeing as I'll actually have this thing called a life for that time, posts might become a little less frequent (I don't imagine I'll ever manage to post two a day while I'm there).

Either way, I meant to write this yesterday, but I was too tired and distracted by packing. I still need to finish packing, but I'll only do that once I know dad's nearly ready to go, seeing as I don't want to be without my laptop longer than I have to be.

Anyway, back onto the point of this blog, which is my writing. I don't know why, but my love for the Young Samurai series smacked me in the face yesterday, so I went and finished the third book, which I gave up on after one of my favourite characters apparently kicked the bucket. Thankfully, I found out yesterday that he survived. And I proved with this book, yet again, that I have a thing for the bad guys (more specifically the ones with tough pasts), when I fell head-over-heels for the ultimate bad guy of the story: Dragon Eye. (Yes, I know I'm hopeless, thank you. I blame my mothering instincts and my 'Saving People' thing. It's stupid, and it's probably going to break my heart a good couple of times, but what can I do?)

The ending of the third book still annoyed me, but not too much that I don't want to read the fourth, so I'm planning on getting that soon, but in the mean time, I'll settle on writing my three Young Samurai fanfics. One's based on the supposed death of my favourite character, and my persona, Setari, getting revenge for it. Lots of fun to write, and it's a bit of a song fic, in that it's got this song in it:

The Best Is Yet To Come

I totally fell in love with that song after Furry sent it to me. Gaelic is such a beautiful language~... I'm determined to learn it, along with Japanese and possibly Old English, before I die. But yeah, that fic is called 'Retribution', for obvious reasons (I'm not usually very inventive with my fic titles) and I may or may not shove it up on deviantART once I'm done (It's a self insert, so I probably won't put it on fanfiction.net).

The next I've done barely any work on at all, but it's called 'Apprentices' and it's based on how totally pissed off some of the parents (one in particular, really) in the series make me. His son is working so goddamn fucking hard for his approval, and he can't even be fucking bothered to say 'Well done' once in a fucking while. Stupid prat. Ahem, yes. As you can see, bad parenting is one of the few things that can get me well and truely riled up. Personally, I think shouting at your children qualifies as abuse, let alone everything else that parents do in the name of 'discipline' (which is a stupid word and concept, really, but I won't go into that.)

Moving on, before I get too pissed off: Apprentices was also inspired by this Naruto fic I found on deviantART a very long time ago, and am still in love with. It's a NaruHina, and in fact, Naruto and Hinata are about the only characters from Naruto that feature in the story for more than one chapter. But the OCs in it are awesome and spectacularly well made, and everything else from the backstory, to the OCs' pasts, to all the tiny little details, is beautifully crafted. I'd very much like to see a sequal, but I don't know if that'll happen...

Two Halves

But yeah, the way it inspired Apprentices is that one of the main themes of the story is Naruto and Hinata being 'partner trained'. The concept is simple; they're trained to fight together like a team so flawless they fight like they can read each others minds. I love this concept and intend to kidnap it for my Apprentices fic, though really, the credit for the idea has to go to the author of Two Halves, or at least, whoever gave them the idea, if it isn't theirs.

The last is a hopeless self-insert. It doesn't have a title yet, but I'm sure I think of one eventually. I'm not entirely sure that the timing lines up, but I don't care. The basic plot of the fic is that my persona, Tari, took care of Dragon Eye when he was seriously injured. One thing led to another and then he up and leaves without a trace and Tari finds out she's pregnant. Fun. Twelve years later, Kaida and Ryuutaro (if you're familiar with the Japanese language and Japanese names, then you'll surely be able to see why I picked those names. Teehee.) head to the Niten Ichi Ryu to train as Samurai (Oh, hurrhurrhurr, Dragon Eye would just hate that, wouldn't he?). It really is a bit of a wish-fullfillment fic, as it's main point is that Dragon Eye gets 'healed' by Tari and his kids.

Yes, I'm aware I'm hopeless, and that bad guys don't get 'saved' that easily, but shoosh. A girl can dream. I even have a couple of fics planned out where Tari saves Voldemort for cripes sake. Dragon Eye is, as awesome a bad guy as he is, still a step down from Voldemort's ruthlessly crazy evilness.

On a related note not related at all note; I've been looking for pictures of Smallpox scars on the internet, but all I can find is pictures of Smallpox itself. I know what Smallpox looks like, thank you, Google. It's gross and disgusting and I want to know what the scars look like. So if you know any good pictures of smallpox scars on the internet (and by good I mean not so blurry or small that you can't actually see the scars), please lemme know because it's been bothering the hell out of me.

Anyway. Now that I'm done ranting about all that shit, I need to get packing.

I'll try to keep posting something every day, but no promises (to all you non-existant readers out there. Ha).

Ja ne~!

The Devil's Canvas

Well, this post is going to be a little more related to writing than my last, but to be fair, I wrote the other one when I'd been up for over 20 hours and I still can't be sure exactly what I was thinking.

Anyway, the main point of this post is yet again for me to expound upon the virtues of a certain fanfic that I've been addicted to. Unlike Twin Vice, however, this one is heavy on romance and drama and there's a certain thriller-ish quality to some of the more recent chapters. The Devil's Canvas is a Kuroshitsuji fanfic (if you haven't seen it, do so. It's weird and awesome and kinda creepy, but all the more awesome for it), and a Ciel X Sebastian fic. Ciel X Sebastian is my OTYP (Official Top Yaoi Pairing). I simply adore the sort of twisted bond and fight for dominance they have in the anime (I really do need to read the manga), and that's without any explicit romance. I shiver at the thought of what an experienced writer could do with them in a romantic setting: which is exactly what Akiru-chan has done.

The Devil's Canvas

It's an AU fanfic, and it really has been beautifully planned to bring out the best qualities of the relationship shown in the anime, with Sebastian dragging Ciel down into his dark little world and Ciel finding, to his surprise, that he rather likes it there. I can't really say much more about the fic without giving away spoilers or repeating myself, but if you've watched Kuroshitsuji (and if you haven't, go watch it now), then The Devil's Canvas is definately worth a read.

Well, now I have a sort of plan, I suppose: once I'm done watching Once Piece, I need to watch the Kuroshitsuji II, and read the Kuroshitsuji manga. After that, I need to catch up with the Fairy Tail anime, and get back to the Fairy Tail manga. (Is it just me, or did they leave Gildarts out of the 'Who might be the strongest in Fairy Tail' in the anime? I remember Natsu mentioning him, but when I rewatched the anime, he didn't. So was it just in the manga?) After that I really need to catch up with the Naruto anime and the Bleach anime, and I still haven't managed to watch the ending of the original FMA anime, and I wanna do that before I read the manga, and then I'm going to watch the new anime.

Hahah. I wonder if I'll even manage to catch up with all the anime and manga I want to watch/read? I doubt it, but a girl can hope, right? Haha...

And suddenly, I feel like working on Scarlet String (which is a Ciel X Sebastian fic I've been trying to write), even though I've been stuck on one bit for months now...

Oh well, either way. I need to watch more One Piece now~

Hormones

WARNING! MILD ONE PIECE SPOILERS AHEAD FOR EP 310! DON'T LIKE IT, DON'T READ IT!

Well, today has been realitvely interesting. There were some pretty damned good bits, and some pretty fucking bad bits, and over all, they kind of balenced each other out. I can't really say what most of it has got to with writing though, but oh well, I don't care.

First, I am incredibly proud to say, I just hit the 310 mark in Once Piece. HELL YEAH! And Lucci deserves to be beaten with his own severed arms and hung from his own guts, preferably off a marine flagpole. Maybe we should set his back on fire too! Another thing that the recent episodes have done (besides making bawl uncontrolably, swear at the top of my lungs and laugh hysterically for ages) is make me consider adding both Luffy and Zoro to my One Piece harem. (I did warn you that some of my fics were shameless self-inserts. But don't worry, I won't subject anyone on the internet to reading that crap unless they specifically ask for it. It's purely wish-fulfillment) Seriously, I wanted to kiss Luffy after he set the marine flag on fire (or had Usopp set the flag on fire. Meh. Details, details.), and after he kicked Lucci's ass into next week. AND CHIBI LUFFY IS SO GODDAMN KYUTE, I'M GONNA DIE~! (Mild 'Despicable Me' referance there)

And oh, my god, the end of episode 310 is so sweet and sad and I've been bawling my eyes out for ages! >.< I'm crying so much right now. I probably should have seen it coming, but I didn't and it made me cry so bad, and now I don't care that I'm shattered and haven't slept for 21 hours, I'm going to watch more One Piece.

Though, I have to admit, some of my fangirling can be put down to hormones. My period is due, and the really big clue was when I burst into tears over trying to put a new SIM card in my phone. Ok, I have a phobia of talking to people over the phone, especially foreign people who don't make any sense when you just want to get something that should be simple out of the way.

Finally, I just want to say that my adoration of merfolk has been rekindled, and I just want to say: GazettE (It's a J-rock band. Look 'em up. They're pure smex.) would make awesome mermen. Comepletely awesome. Haven't worked out what kind of merpeople they'd be, but I'll work on it~!

Well, I'm gonna watch more One Piece until I fall asleep on my keyboard~!

Ja ne~!

Twin Vice

Well, I managed to sleep through the entire day today. I went to sleep sometime around ten in the morning, and woke up around ten in the evening. Joy. And on top of that, my dreams were seriously weird. Can't remember them well, but they woke me several times during the night day.

I suppose I can only blame myself. Right before I went to sleep I noticed that this Harry Potter fanfic that I'm addicted to had just been updated, and I tried to read it even though I was falling asleep on my keyboard already. This fic I'm talking about is one hundred percent amazing. It's like... Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes meets Alice's Adventures in Wonderland with a good healthy dosing of Skulduggery Pleasant on top. Basically it's awesome, whacky, hilarious and addictive. You should definately check it out if you've got time.

Twin Vice: Paranormal Detectives

The other most awesomely amazing thing about that fic, beyond all the obvious awesomeness that comes from it being about the Weasley Twins, is that it always inspires me to write one of my little original plot bunnies. It started with the random thought that a seventh son of a seventh son would have a fucking huge family. So I found a good family tree maker on the internet and got to work.

Well, so far, it's got about 85 people on it.

The main character, the seventh son of a seventh son, is called Taye. Taye Seith Morgan. He also happens to be a thrice blessed child: Not only is he the seventh son of a seventh son, he was born at midnight on Samhain (All Hallows Eve, or Halloween to all you conformists/christians out there), and he also happened to be born on a Ley Gate (A place where two or more Ley Lines converge). This makes him way more than just innately magical. He's practically bursting with magic which happens to spill out of him at some rather inopportune moments. (You do not want to see Taye throw a tantrum. He might just flatten a city or two.)

Other than Taye, there are two main characters. Both are his cousins, and most of the story ideas I've had for him revolve around family get-togethers or camps of somesort that they all end up going to. First, there's Rosine, who's the daughter of Taye's youngest uncle, and his wife, who is a seventh daughter. Rosine happens to be a seventh daughter of a seventh daughter, which, though doesn't make her quite as magical as Taye, gives her the power to see the spirits of the dead, and the auras of the living.

Then there's Mirana. There is absolutely nothing magical about her. She can't see ghosts, or the many fantastical creatures that Taye can. She can't see any of the magical places that Taye can either, until she actually steps inside them. She is completely and utterly not magical, but without her, Taye and Rosine would sit safely at home not having any adventures at all, and then there wouldn't be a story to write. The one thing that's worth noting about Mirana is that she is so not magical, that magic doesn't affect her. A Pixie can't hex her, nor can a ghost possess her, a Marsh Wriath couldn't lead her astray, and the Banshee's cry does absolutely fuck all to her, expect annoying the hell out of her.

Well, if you read all that, then you're a saint and you deserve a cookie. Here's a link to the family tree, if you're interested:

Morgan Family Tree

Oh, yes. Some of the people there have pictures (which you'll see if you select them), which I made on this very awesome Face Maker I found on deviantART. I use it for nearly all things like that (I've got some Naruto Next Gen. OCs that I created with that faceamker, too).

Face Maker

Well, that's about all I've got to say at the moment, I think. Oh! No, one last thing: As you'll find out if you get a good way into Twin Vice, May 9th is now the official Re-Fredding day. Basically, a day dedicated to Fred Weasley being alive. Either reborn, or he never died, your choice. Do something for it! A picture, a fic, a poem, whatever. Anything. (Not sure what I'm going to do yet, but I want to do something...) If you do do anything for Re-Fredding Day, comment with a link, cause I wanna see!

Now I'm pretty sure that really is all for now, so...

Think Write

Ooh, look at that, two posts today. I hope this isn't going to end up as one of those things that starts so well, and then just flops after a week or so. I don't want this blog to flop. (Although, I suppose it technically isn't the same day anymore, seeing as it's one in the morning. And I still haven't had dinner yet. Hurr.)

I'm really just writing because I just stumbled across this really interesting site called 'Think Write' (I find that an amusing little pun). It's a little confusing, as there doesn't seem to be any sort of 'welcome' page or 'rule' page or anything. This is especially vexing if you're like me and have had a fear of being, or doing something, wrong drilled into you by school. Still, it's interesting enough that I'm gonna give it a go, and live with the embarrassment (which is another thing I really can't cope with. There are things that happened to me a decade ago that I'm still dwelling on) if I do happen to do something 'wrong'.

Think Write

There's a link if you're interested. It's quite a simple site, in terms of layout, but if you find any sort of page thats there to welcome new members, for gods sake please let me know, ok?

I have a feeling that my time on Think Write will probably be one of those 'going strong for a week then taking a nosedive into the pavement' kind of things, but we'll see. I suppose... a good thing that has come of this is that Think Write has a 'Your Website' section on the account page, so now there's a link to this blog floating around out there. Who knows, I might actually get some people subscribing/following my blog, and then I won't be talking to thin air anymore! That'd be nice. I almost feel like a dork writing all this like there's someone reading it. Haha...

I might link to this blog on dA (deviantART) as well. More links can't hurt, after all.

The Sea

Really, everything I'm working on at the moment seems to come back to the sea.

First off; I've been watching One Piece rather obsessively for the last few weeks, and when I'm not watching it, I'm listening to the opening and ending music. And of course, One Piece is all about pirates. Pirates. Yes, I'm in love. When I'm waiting for an episode to load, I'm usually busy writing One Piece fanfiction (I did warn you I was obsessed with the stuff), or reading One Piece fanfiction.

This here is the only One Piece fanfiction I've actually put up on the internet. Surprisingly, this one isn't a self-insert. (Most of the ones that are are still being written, that's why)

Defensive Flowers

As for the stuff I've been reading on fanfiction.net... let me just warn you, that I've managed to fall in love with the pairing NamiXPaulie. One of my favourite One Piece fanfictions that I've managed to find is a NamiXPaulie (In fact, there are about three I've found, all by the same person).

Stop, Thief!

There's also a SanjiXNami fic I've found that I adore. I don't really like the pairing (Sanji's way too good for Nami, in my opinion, but I may be a little biased. Heh.), but the story is so damned good that I don't care about the SanjiXNami theme.

Deadline

Ok, now that I've gotten the One Piece obsession out of my system (for now), the other thing I'm working on, whenever I can, what with my One Piece obsession taking so much of my time, is my Fairy Tail's Fairytales. As you might know from my last post, Fairy Tail currently holds the prestigeous title of my favourite anime. It is plain awesome! And I had a random idea a while ago to write some fairytales with the Fairy Tail cast. Of course, because I barely remember my old Grimm's Fairytales book, I decided to use the classic Disney movies as my inspiration. Because the Disney classics are made of awesome, and I'm sure I'll still be watching them when I'm old and wrinkly.

So yeah, Disney classics have a very strong romantic theme, which suits me just fine. So I picked all my favourite pairings from Fairy Tail and worked out which fairytale would suit that pairing.

Fairy Tail's Fairytales

As you can see by the authors comments on that, I've already finished one, and started two others. Beauty and the Beast is being a regular bitch, so the one I'm focusing on at the moment is (surprise, surprise) The Little Mermaid. Hence how all that rambling about Fairy Tail links back to the sea.

Anyway, my One Piece episode is probably done loading now, so...

Beginnings

Well, this is my first blog post. Everyone leap and flail in cheer! Ha.

I suppose what I should really say is a little overview of where I am right now in my writing... well, here goes nothing, and I hope you enjoy this little glimpse into a hermit's life.

First off, I think I should warn any readers that I am addicted to fanfiction like you wouldn't believe. I first got into fanfiction via Naruto (If you don't know what that is, get out from under that rock where you've been hiding and google it.), and I still believe that the Naruto cast are the most flexible characters I've ever read about. It's unbelievably easy to pick them up and thrust them into a completely different world, like ours (the number of Naruto High School fics out there is scary), or a fairy tale type theme, or even a futuristic space-age style fic.

Anyway, I'm rambling. This here is a list of my most prominent fandom obsessions:
Favourite anime/manga fandom: Naruto
Favourite anime: Fairy Tail
Favourite manga: Fruits Basket
Favourite book fandom: Harry Potter
Favourite TV seires fandom: Merlin

That is by no means the limit to my favourite fandoms, but it's the bare basics, I suppose. I'm sure you'll find out about the rest in due time.

Another little warning: I am a romance writer, first and foremost. I enjoy writing fantasy, magic themes stories, but romance will always be what I enjoy writing most. I'm an obsessive shipper (How do you even spell that in this context?), and a lot of my fics are shameless self inserts. It's sad, but true. There's usually at least (at least) one guy in any fandom I write for that I end up head-over-heels for.

Moving on from fandom. Although it does make up the majority of the unfinished fics littering my laptop, I do have a good number of original story ideas floating around, the most prominent of which being TRG. It's a huge idea; I've got a pretty good idea that it'll be five books long, and I've got the plot for each book at least roughly outlined (The first and fifth books mostly, the rest are still slightly fuzzy). And it's about the only original story I've actually started writing properly.

After that, I've got several other ideas fermenting in my brain, like a post-apocalyptic story, an Alice In Wonderland themed story, a time-travel story, and a were-folk story (were as in waerewolf). There's also another couple of little ideas, but I won't go into that now, or we'll be here all day.

Well, I suppose that's all for now.

Ja ne (means 'see you' in Japanese)
